1 Mould release agents
Oil-based compounds that form a film on the formwork to stop concrete from bonding to it. They make striking easier, produce a smooth surface and extend the life of timber and steel forms.
2 Curing compounds
Sprayed onto fresh concrete to form a thin membrane that holds moisture in and prevents rapid drying, replacing conventional water curing.
3 Surface retarders (exposed aggregate)
A paste applied to the formwork or to the concrete surface to delay hardening of the surface layer. The layer is then washed away to reveal the aggregate, giving an attractive exposed-aggregate finish for façades, floors and pavements.
4 Moulds for decorative concrete
A two-component, low-viscosity liquid polyurethane poured over a model to produce a flexible mould for casting decorative concrete façade elements, sculptures and ornaments in concrete or plaster.
